Nairobi National Park, is the only National park in the world within a capital city. It is a approx 10km drive from the city center. Here you enjoy a wonderful game drive where you are able to spot some of the big five. At some point you get to alight the vehicle and have a nature walk accompanied by a wildlife ranger along the riverbanks. It is a good one day expedition and best done during the weekend. Private game drives are also available with Footprint Expeditions. Be ready to see different kind of birds, lions, zebras, buffalos, giraffes and rhinos. Time to unwind with scenic views on a road circuit. The trip begins from Nairobi though Thika to Embu where we have a bathroom break. Then we proceed to Chuka, Chogoria, Nithi Bridge and Nkubu to Meru. We have our lunch break and time to stretch out legs in Meru. We have time to familiarize ourselves with the town. Later we proceed through that magestic farms in Timau. We have a stopover for photo sessions, then proceed to Nanyuki. We take a bathroom break and later proceed to Karatina back to Thika and Nairobi. Through out the journey we get to have many stopovers including the main ones mentioned earlier. It is a great way to unwind the week, get to visit new places, experience different cultures, different foods, way of living, history of the places and many more. Be ready to enjoy, interact with other people and have fun.

Lake Ellis is one of the mountain lakes found on My. Kenya in Kenya Central region. It is about 5-6hrs from Nairobi to the hike starting point. It is a beautiful magestic glacier lake on the eastern slopes of My. Kenya. Best hiking route to access lake Ellis is through Chogoria gate. Other features through the hike is the famous Nithi Falls, lush forests and mountainous views. The scenery is picturesque and and hike is a one day hike. Elevation gain from the gate to the lake is 505m to high of 3,455m ASL and a low of 2,950m ASL. It is a moderate hike and takes about 6-8hrs from start to end and covers a distance of 15-19kms inclusive of Nithi Falls. It is beginner friendly. Hike requires good physical fitness.

Kimakia forest hike is a beautiful hike in the aberdares ranges forest under the shade and crisp clean air of the trees. Along the hike trail there are river crossing and waterfalls. River crossing we get to dip our feet in the waters and feel the nature first hand. Being a dense forest, some of the wildlife we will get a glimpse of are birds, dikdik, and elephants. The hike trail is 17kms and with a trekking time of approximately 6 hours. Kimakia forest is about one and half hours from Nairobi CBD. Pic up point International life house Nairobi. When you think of Lion King the movie, an inspiration is drawn from the park scenery. Hells gate Natural Park is located approx. 90kms west of Nairobi near the shores of lake Naivasha. It is deal for a perfect date. Where you are in the wild, enjoy site seeings wild animals such as zebras, warthogs, buffalos and monkeys. See the famous old jorowa gorges. Afterwards get at deep in the natural geothermal hot spa. All in the same park. Rock climbing enthusiasts have an open rock climbing area. Other can have bikes for bike ridding in the park.

Kitengela glass is one of the kind longest running recycled-glass studio. It is located 48.4kms south of Nairobi, coverings approx 2hrs time. It is located at the edge south of Nairobi National Park. It is captivating to watch the craftsmen glass blowing and creatively making very beautiful items out of the recycled glass. Such as house ornaments, artistist items, decos, chandeliers, tumblers, jugs,etc As a visitor, you get to enjoy a walk through the suspension bridge, glassblow or glassblow and make an item. There is an inhouse eatery and coffee shop. There is an art gallery showcasing 100% recycled arts. There is an inhouse swimming pool and very artistic bottled sauna available.

An amazing road circuit of the A8 international highway. From Nairobi to Nakuru via the great rift valley escarpment, mountains, hills and lakes. Lake Nakuru and menengai crater. Along the way, views of Mt. Longonot, lake Elementaita, sleeping worrier hill, and lake Naivasha are very picturesque. In Nakuru, we will visit Lake Nakuru national park and another day hike menengai crater. During breaks, familiarize ourselves with Nakuru City.

Gatamaiyu forest is located 55km on the west of Nairobi city, in kiambu county. It is part of the aberdare forest and on the southern part. The hike takes and average of 3-4hrs depending on the pase.

Camping inside a Game park is the most natural experience one can have. Surrounded by sounds of wildlife, vegetations and river. During the day, a game drive, breakfast and lunch in the wild, nature walk in the wild by a keen watch over by rangers. Watching animals graze at a distance, what a wonderful experience this is.
